Chrysalis puts the treasure where the flower should be. Pink-and-cream bracts open just far enough to show a quartz point with an emerald field caught inside it — a bloom that skipped the petal stage and went straight to stone.

Process

Lit from behind so the inclusions catch while the bracts stay opaque — the crystal is the only part of the picture allowed to transmit light.
