The Herbarium lays a ginkgo out the way a collector would — every leaf turned to show its veins — and then hides a small hoard at the join. Turquoise, quartz and a single rose pebble sit in the tangle, kept by leaves that dried a long time ago.
Process
The ground was laid in thick teal and cream strokes and left to set first, so the leaves could be placed on a surface that already had weather in it.
